Shout Ad network is currently offering all new members $10 free credit with which to start their account. The also now pay
sites 5 cents per click-through when paid ads are shown which, from our experience, is close to 100% of the time. When there
are no paid ads available, sites earn banner exchange credits, which they can use for promotional purposes. Recently, Shout!
imposed a 4% CTR rule, which states that the company has the right to deny payment to sites that generate in excess of 4
click-throughs per 100 banner impressions. They have established the rule to restrict fraudulent activity, and it shouldn't affect
honest webmasters dramatically (since average untargetted banner click-through ratios are between 0.5% and 2%).
Bannerpool are offering sites 10 cents per click-through. Banners are rotated automatically, similar to the systems used
by ValueClick and MEDIAnet, in an attempt to raise click-though ratios. The site looks suspiciously similar to the eAds
homepage.
Click2Net has established a new banner agency that pays between 6 and 10 cents per click-through. The network allows
webmasters to place up to three Click2Net banners on one page, while also permitting other advertising on the same page.
Banners are targeted to maximise your potential click-through ratio. Detailed online statistics are provided to all host sites,
detailing how long it took each surfer to click on the banner, which interest areas produce the best click-through ratios etc - all
designed to help you make the most of your available advertising inventory.
Electronic Advertising (eAds) pays host sites a flat rate of 5 cents per click-thru. Hosts are able to select (from a range of 4)
which banners appear on their pages. In theory, this means that you can choose banners that are specifically targeted towards
your audience's demographics, thus increasing the click-through ratio. Some reports that I have received from webmasters state
that eAds fail to respond to email requests, and cancel site's accounts without due reason. Still, the company has been
established for a number of years now and many webmasters are admittedly pleased with the service that they receive.
Asia Friend Finder is a successful online chat and matchmaking service (over 120,000 members) that is offering the choice between
a commission program and a click-thru program. They pay between 40 cents per sign-up.
JustClick is offering Web sites (of any size) click-thru rates that range between 4 and 10 cents (based on the number of
click-thoughs that your site generates in any particular month. You must generate 10,000! click-throughs each month to receive
10 cents per click. Still, the company appears to be reputable, although their use of the English language creates some
dubious explanations to say the least.
MEDIAnet is a new banner network set-up by those who brought Momentum Media to the Web a few months ago. The new
program is far more advanced then the old, and the payment rate has doubled, so they should find more success this time
around. MEDIAnet accepts sites of all sizes, pays a flat rate of 5 cents per click-thru, and rotates its ads automatically. The
also allow Webmasters the choice between 3 different banner sizes (468x60 - the standard size, 426x76, and 300x54 - see
below). The payment is the same for each, so your choice will depend purely on what fits your page layout the best. Banners
can be situated anywhere on your pages, but you may only place one banner on each page. NOTE: Webmasters who sign up
as host sites will, for a limited time, receive a bonus $25!!!
Narrowcast Media has recently changed its payment rules. New sites are not permitted to enter the purchase program (that's
their pay-per-impression program), but are paid 5 cents per click-through for the banners that they carry. If Narrowcast find that
the advertisements on your page are performing particularly well, they will invite you to join the purchase program.
Unfortunately, it seems that their new click-through program may still have a few bugs in the system as I have been receiving
rather dubious statistics.
NetBanner Network has established a banner-rotation program similar to ValueClick's. It pays between 6 and 11 cents per
click-through, depending on the number of click-through's sent each month.
Netradio offers 5 cents per click-through. Their program is great for any site since people can visit Netradio, start the real-audio
playing and return to your site.
PennyWeb offers host sites the opportunity to choose from a wide range of advertisers that are organised by category.
Advertising is based on the click-thru method, paying up to 6 cents per click-thru. Their system allows you to sign up with as
many advertisers as you wish, and all sites are accepted into the program (regardless of how popular the site is). The
PennyWeb system is also very well suited to Webmasters who wish to advertise their own site at bargain prices.
Valueclick is a reputable program set up by the people who brought you AAA Internet Promotions. The program offers sites
that generate in excess of 1000 visitors each month the chance to host banners that now pay between 6 and 12 cents per
click-thru, according to the number of click-thrus that you send each day. All ads are rotated automatically. Payments are
made after a minimum sum of $30 has amassed. This is a reliable program, and one which is constantly updated in the face of
changing ecomomic conditions. |
